"Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers ~ strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength." -Barbara Katz Rothman-

About Me

My name is Helena Hentz. I am originally from the Czech Republic and worked in Austria and in Rep. of Maldives for several years before my husband and I came to Perth in 2006. I am a mum to two gorgeous children – Noel Zizou and homebirthed Luna Aiyana (video). During my first pregnancy I truly discovered my interest in pregnancy, birth and parenting; I found everything so fascinating. The birth of my son Zizou in 2007 was a life changing experience. In the last months of my pregnancy I learned about Hypnobirthing, and the techniques that I gained allowed me to look forward to my birth and enjoy every moment of it. After my beautiful and calm birth experience I realised I was on the right path to find the "something" missing in my life; the "work" that I could truly love with all my heart:

I often met mothers who didn’t speak about their birthing experiences as positively as I did. This made me realise that this was something I could help with:

I love supporting and helping women & couples to achieve an empowering and transformational birth.

I love seeing women thrive and embrace pregnancy, birth, and motherhood when they feel held, loved, empowered, well-informed and confident.

I believe that knowledge, wisdom, and trust in the birth process ensures a positive experience.

I want women and families to remember the birth of their children with joy and happy memories.

I want to show them how positive and calmer giving birth can be by using relaxation techniques during birthing, how ecstatic, empowering and life changing a birth can be.

I love guiding women to disarm their fears and concerns, and become more attuned to their feminine nature, connect deeper with their bodies and trust their innate body wisdom. I believe this is so important, especially in these times of frequent intervention and medical interference.

I believe that the way we welcome new life into our world touches all of us.

I know that a woman can find her power, confidence and wisdom within herself, without the need to rely on anybody’s influence or authority.

I truly believe that every woman and every baby deserves a positive and empowering birth experience.

My initial interest has grown into a deep passion. I completed my first  training as a Doula in 2010 and since then many other trainings and workshops  with various organizations and I am a Certified Hypnobirthing practitioner since 2008 (the Mongan Method) and soon to be a Certified Ecstatic birth practitioner (July 2023).

I believe it is a privilege to be invited to share this very personal time with couples. I feel so honoured for being invited to be a part of many births; I have welcomed more than 470 Dreambirth babies into the world since I started my doula journey in 2010. All these experiences and years I have spent in birthing spaces, all the lessons I gained through all the journeys, made me to one of the leading doulas in Australia.  I have supported families through many different births, including hospital, birth centre and about 30% of my births are home births.  I have supported mothers/couples through planned and unplanned caesarean births, to avoid inductions, through medical and natural inductions, medicated and unmedicated birth.  I have journeyed with couples from many different cultural backgrounds, belief systems and lifestyles, without judgement and with fully unbiased support.  I have also supported those who chose alternate forms of conception via egg donation, embryo adoption or IVF.
I value the role I play in being a part of this special time on the way to parenthood so deeply.

During my second pregnancy I decided to learn more about baby massage. I have massaged my son since he was born but I never really knew if I did the “right way”. I attended the IAIM instructor course and after the birth of my daughter in 2009 I became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Since then I run baby massage classes monthly.

In 2020  as a mum of two teenagers, a daughter who is blossoming into a woman, I trained with Jane Bennett – Celebration day for girls and have started to run menstruation workshops for preteen girls and their mothers. www.lunabloom.com.au Some of my doula babies have already attended this special day.

In June 2022, I have started a yearlong training with Sheila Hay Kumara to become Ecstatic birth practitioner.

If you think I could be the right person to share this special time of your life and would like to know more about my services, please contact me. You won’t find me actively posting on social media, Im not on Instagram and rarely post on facebook. Please call me or email me, or send me sms <3 .
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
